Having moved to Marietta when I was 4, I was raised almost exclusively in Georgia. Eventually, I learned to call Midtown home after moving down to Tech for my undergrad ('12 - BS ElecEng). In 2013, I will start working toward my masters in the same field, with ambitions of attending law school in the future.
After 5 years of being an ITP-convert and after much travelling to various other cities, it has become evident how much I truly appreciate what Atlanta has to offer. I'm at a time in my life where I have a plethora of cities in which to begin looking to launch my career and look at living in long-term. Maybe its the Sweetwater 420, the Braves, or the various music venues, but I have realized that I am definitely not looking to permanently leave what is my home (ok, its probably the Sweetwater 420). Therefore, I've got a stake in where this city is headed (as do most of the readers) - hence, this blog.
Like most 21st-century 20-somethings, I have a need to remain informed via the internet, learning all there is to be googled about any topic of particular interest. My aim for this blog is to formalize and aggregate my thoughts on issues in the area and how they will impact Atlanta, short and long term. As informed as I aim to be, however, it's still just one Atlantan's opinion when all is said and done.
When I'm not attempting to revive my writing muscles, which suffered severe stagnation from prolonged exposure to the North Avenue Trade School, I'm most likely practicing my drumming, perusing the vinyl collection at Wax n Facts, trying to find a new favorite at Hop City, or hollering for a Yellow Jacket victory down at Bobby Dodd stadium.
